The wife has taken Poppy to the vets as shes seriously damaged her back leg.
Our little girl got overexcited and jumped off the sofa not realising Poppy was asleep next to it and landed right on top of her.
The poor baby cant walk properly and is in a lot of pain.
Fingers crossed shell be ok.:(

The missus has had to leave Poppy with the vets for a x-ray and hell be phoning us up soon with the results.

We have 2 black cats - I dread treading on one of them big time some night.

lots of fingers crossed here too- hopefuly a pain shot, a dose of magic metacam and a good rest will be enough to sort it out. Our clumsy barmy bengal had a bad fall last november and we were scared he'd done a permanent damage to his hind leg but after the above treatment, he was soon back to being his normal barmy leaping and launching from great heights self. Also, daft dobe has occasional bouts of lameness that benefits from rest or if really bad, metacam

Great news theres no break just some very bad swelling which will go down in about 3 to 5 days with rest and medication.
Its an incredible relief that shes ok. I dont mind admitting we were all frantic incase it was serious. The little girl was particualy upset as she realises it was the accident she had that made her poorley:(.
Im sure shes learned to be more careful around the dogs now which is a good thing.
The missus has gone to fetch her now and i cant wait to see her.

Your quite right there. Weve been at pains to make sure she knows it was an accident and just to take care in future.
Seeing her cry like she did broke my heart and i could have been angry at her even if i tried.
She has this way of pulling The_DADDIES heart strings and getting away with absolute murder:suspect:
