ShinyPurple 03-08-2007, 18:28 I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when Yoko or Paul McCartney found out :hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi::hihi:
It could be worse they could have used Faith No More's - “Cuckoo for Caca”
carcrash 04-08-2007, 09:15 You know you must be close to bankruptcy when you can allow that to happen

Paul Mccartney must be livid, as P&G are one of the Biggest cruel Animal testing companies around, something that Paul mccartney has very strong views against.

Ray Bentos 05-08-2007, 13:49 As we all know back in the early '80s Macca & Jacko were friends. Around this time the rights to The Beatles music were up for sale and Paul advised Jacko to buy them. Know idea why Paul, George, Ringo or Yoko don't own them. Macca regrets eh ?

Nah real power is being able to pay Jordy Chandler $20 million to keep schtum in order to get out of a sordid mess. :suspect:

Nearly right.
Paul initially didn't want the rights to the Beatles' catalogue as they came with tons of other stuff. He just wanted his 'babies' back - not old songs from the 20s and 30s.
Jackson was more savvy and decided to go ahead anyway. Thus, he bought the lot and obviously this didn't go down too well in the McCartney camp.
There was a programme, Only A Northern Song on Radio 2 only the other week which went into the quite complex detail of the whole affair.
For once, McCartney was out-smarted and as we all know, must regret his dithering every day!

Yes, but it was Paul who initially advised MJ to buy the music rights and then fell out with him for buying the Beatles catalogue.

'You know what, Michael?' said Paul whilst the pair were working on Paul's Pipes Of Peace album in 1982 (the album contained two co-written songs, Say, Say, Say and The Man) 'you really ought to get into buying song catalogues; they're a great little earner.'
'Hey, Paul. You know what? I'm going to buy the Beatles' catalogue!' replied Michael. I bet Macca didn't believe him for a second!!
It's a good job that Wacko did buy the rights, for his own sake (although he doesn't own 100% of the Beatles' catalogue) but Paul should certainly have had his wits about him.
As he's said numerous times since, every time he performs one of his own songs, he has to pay someone else (and when that person is Michael Jackson, one can fully understand why he feels so irritated!).

You're always going on about how powerful Michael Jackson is. I find it very odd.

Just keeping you up to date with the showbiz news in the entertainments section of the Sheffield Forum. MJ is one of the most talked about showbiz stars on the planet....
And you find this odd why?...

No he's not, he is a peado with a talent for grabbing his crotch every few seconds and squealing and he hasn't made a decent song in the last 20 years.

Because you always write about how powerful he is, like when he bought Eminem's catalogue and stuff.
It's just the emphasis you put on his 'power'.
It's weird!
