Hi, I'm looking for a decent Gym in Sheffield. Ive just posted a message in the Christmas topic area but it looks as though I put it in the wrong area. My only requirements for the Gym is that I don't want to spend silly money and it needs to be near a bus route.

Hi mdenby, you could try The Source at Meadowhall Centre. Good transport links (bus & Tram) and the current offer is 1 weeks free trial, to see what you think. The gym uses state of the art gear and is very freindly and unintimidating. Its opposite Debenhams, the new curved building at Tinsley Souht tram stop

I am a memeber of The Cage in Devonshire quarter. The gym is newly opened and comes equipped with a sauna, tanning salon, massuese and jacuzzis. Currently paying £23 a month. A great bargain.

I'm a member of Fitness First and I might even start going again once the numbers die down again after the new year rush!

I go to the one on Archer Road and like it, I used to be a member of Greens and as I didn't use the pool there it wasn't worth spending the extra money so moved to Fitness First.

The machines are all good, don't have to queue for stuff (well, you might at the start of January!) and they do one on one sessions really cheap. There's no bar but you do get free soft drinks or coffee and the have a video/DVD library that is free to members.

Im looking for a Gym that i can pay as i train, eg £3 per visit.

I work on ecclesall rd so that location or huntersbar/broom hill would be ideal.

Can anybody recommend?
