Hi the brightside parish covered right from pitsmoor to winkobank back in the 1800's so there is several parish churches. I think the main one wes St Thomas which is on the hollywell Road just of Upwell st. If you have the name of the street or the local area that he lived it would be easier to find the parish Church Zebra 24-05-2008, 19:43 There's some part of my family tree which says that the relatives in question lived in an area we now know as Shalesmoor but which was Brightside then AFAIK and their 'parish church' was Sheffield Cathedral which is where they married. I have no idea if that will help. bazjea 24-05-2008, 20:11 Sorry that previous post was incorrect John wilkinson bn c1832 is detected as being born in sheffield living in london during 1881 census! anyone know of him out there. jenny Try the website below. There may well be some information or person on ther that may be of help. http://sheff-indexers.thewholeshebang.org/Links/Links_SheffieldAndArea.html Grim Reaper 24-05-2008, 20:12 MOD NOTE Thread closed.
