Are there any stickfighting clubs in the area? Western or Eastern styles: Escrima, Kali, Canne, Lang Greatstick, Staff? I'm looking to learn.

Northern Martial Arts Academies on Edmund Road teach Kobudo - traditional Japanese weapons including:
# Staff weapons of various sizes - bo, jo, tanbo, yawara, naginata.
# Tonfa - similar to a police batton but often used in pairs
# Kama - similar to a small scythe or sickle.
# Sai - a three pronged weapon, similar in appearance to a small sword.
# Nunchaku - two wooden sticks joined by a cord.
# Katana and Boken - the Katana is a traditional Japanese sword, the Boken is a wooden version often used in training
