yo I'm looking for a picture of redvers house on furnival gate, as it was before being reclad. IT was a reddy brown building, with brown windows and almost faux japanese tiers. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. Sites like citysnapper, which is normally dead useful, only seem to include it from afar.
Now redvers house has been reclad it looks even worse; a cheap and flimsy grey shell with green glass, clashing with the white and brown tiles it covers. Why oh why is this sort of cladding allowed: it just means that the worst buildings won't be knocked down for another twenty years.
I think moorhead is the ugliest street in sheffield: sunwin house is blue and green, there's the big blue box on the corner (furnival house?), the octagonal buildings on the roundabout, and not forgetting grosvenor house. Ouch.
Then of course there's charter row. What an oversized, fat squat mess.
Sorry. Quite a dull post. Can anyone help?
PEACE
