Just come back, having had a lovely chicken caesar salad, sat in the sun in the beer garden. What nicer way is there to spend your lunchbreak? Can't for winter to try the sausage and mash! cheers!

What's the garden like? (Might be a silly question but I thought it was just a car park???)

There is a walled beer garden accessed through the pub. With four pub picnic tables hanging baskets and flower tubs. It is very well protected from the elements by its four walls and umbrellas.

Well it is the carpark really, but if you sit with your back to the cars, all you can see is plants! I think there might be another one at the back aswell, but not certain.

Sounds very nice. I might give you a go for Sunday Lunch ... what veggie option do you do on Sunday? (For the OH).

I thought there might have been another one - we'll give it a try next time (providing the sun's shining of course!)

cheers

Usually go for Sunday lunch but have been for lunch today with some friends from Norwich Union.

Lunch was lovely, my friend had scallop salad which she said was very nice and I had a ploughmans, 2 nice pieces of cheese, salad and bread pickle etc. And shared a bottle of wine for £7.50, American I think but was also good.

Will definately be back midweek for lunch again soon, would highly recommend!
