Multi-period historical displays at
The Sheffield Fayre
Norfolk Heritage Park, Norfolk Park Road, Sheffield S2
Exciting arena displays will depict history through the ages with skirmishes, combat and soldiers' drill, equestrian displays, hand to hand fighting, archery, musket, cannon & other weapons firing. Highlights include American Civil War and WWII battles.

Sunday 26 and Bank Holiday Monday 27 August 2007 -
10.30am to 5.30pm Free admission!

Dont forget the Horticultural Show, the Craft and Community marquees, the Park Ranger tent or all the other brill activities that will be on over the weekend!!!

are they having the dog show and that compere bloke doing the arena stuff again at the top near the park building, he was ace last year filling in when dog show was a bit dull he made us all laugh caus one old bloke had a spaniel called Jervis and the announcer blike didnt get the joke at first, I N P myself jervis the cocker spaniel.

he does discos at schools as well for the kids, top bloke dont know his name though will ask home this year if we go.

yes the dog show will be on in the small arena near the park building and the guy you are on about is called Chris Fox (runs a company called Fox Promotions i think) he is involved with all kinds of stuff, does discos, pa systems, also does light and sound for the city centre Halloween event. Your right he is a really nice bloke and I will make sure he sees this thread next time I talk to him and yes he is at this years event. Hope you can make it.

Hi

I've seen on the FAQ that those taking photos at the front are asked to be seated so those behind can see. Fair enough, but is seating provided ? If not I'll have to bring an armchair I guess :)

Also, how early would one need to get there to be in the best position for taking photos ?

Hi Grissom, had a look on the notice boards in the park this morning and Arena events start at 11am.
As for getting a good spot to take shots from, the main Arena area is in a dip with three sloping banks so plenty of scope to find a good view point.
Lets hope weather is ok. :)
