Has anyone tried V21 broadband service? I got an email from them, and I am thinking about migrating to them from my current provider (fairadsl). I haven't had any problems with fairadsl, but V21 is a few pounds per month cheaper and provides free webspace.

Just wondering if anyone on the forum has had any good or bad experiences of V21?

did you read this thread? (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23444&highlight=broadband) There's lots of useful info in there and a hyperlink to a website that provides comparisons between providers.

PS at the risk of harping on :D F9 provide free webspace and a totally flexible package, which you can up your quota for, for just one month if necessary.

Both fairadsl and v21 come with no download limits and no capping. I'm paying £19.99 per month for the moment with fairadsl, but it doesn't include any webspace.

As with all things... pay peanuts, get monkeys...

You might want to be careful if the cost of moving ISP is less money for less sanity too... but sounds like you're doing the right thing if you're asking first :)

My advice... spend a few hours checking this forum:

.. and see if the reputation holds up...

We used v21 when they first started as an ISP (as opposed to a web design co) and were asked to code an Instant Messenger program for future users.

They were brilliant...... For about 4 months, they then went to pot.

They also lock out potential customers from their forums (so you are unable to get an idea of what other users have to say). Also, once they have your email, you'll get spam from them well after you leave them (should you decide to "give them a go")!
