Great maramcp. Details to be confirmed but, I had in mind a little event to raise money for school funds - don't switch off here, it won't be much! - I intend to have a get-together at my house. You all come, pay a £1 and knit, chat, drink coffee and eat maramcp's cake - I might bake too if you really upset me!!! Hey, this could get me in the school newsletter - fame at last!

Wheezy

Yes, gempud, you should come meet us weirdoes....... I've been told that Summer starts on the 15th August....... it might have to be an all day occassion so that people can come when they want........ think think think

Me, depending on the date of course.

Wheezy
02-08-2007, 10:33
OK, this is NOT a date written in stone, but how about the 19th August? I picked a Sunday, as most people don't work on a Sunday and middle of the monthish so it would give people time to organise themselves. If not this date, feel free to suggest another.

Given how utterly pathetic I am at getting to the Wool Baa once a month, I can imagine how much this will mean to everyone, but here goes: I'd like to come. I'll try to get there.

You mean you're actually counting me? I'm flattered, but I think you credit me with being too reliable! Just you wait for the inevitable "my boyfriend has taken up a week of work in Bath at short notice and there's no-one to look after the kids" post. It always happens, whatever my intentions are.

All excuses not accepted. We do not mind the odd child. We have two odd ones of our own! :hihi:

If I come can I sit at the table and have someone to bring me tea?

I am under the distinct impression from knitting group meet-ups that you don't actually have a bottom to sit on, Jill! :hihi: I may not recognise you if you're not standing up...

maramcp
02-08-2007, 15:02
Jill, I will bring my pinny and wait on you! I am well practiced at tea-making.

Wheezy
02-08-2007, 15:53
I'm losing count now - Jill, I will clear the table for you to sit at the head as guest of honour! Mara, you said that pinny was for Mark! Don't do him out of a job!! Any more for any more? This is going to be a right laugh!!

AmeliB - forgot to mention you ! Good good good - Let's show how to have a laugh and knit at the same time!

maramcp
02-08-2007, 16:02
We can have even more fun than the Shreddie-knitters! Alright, Mark can have the pinny, I am sure he will look better in it than me, anyway.

Who knows, I may have finished the cardigan by mid-August...

"was" and "going to"? These are past tense. You need to "edit" your post

Know what? I might actually come....

Probably not with knitting though as I don't do well on it in front of other people so would just make a twisted mess.

If I do come I can offer lifts from Barnsley area and Deepcar/Stocksbridge etc or any area between Barnsley and Rotherham really. I really don't know any area of Sheffield well. If anyone thinks they could benefit from a lift from me let me know. At least if I have to give someone a lift then I can't back out.

I will come on one condition though. I am allowed to bring a Monkey into Wheezy's house. And she has to hold it *sniggers*

gempud
11-08-2007, 21:44
Nah it's not far away. I only just live off the M1 junction at Barnsley so will be going down the motorway anyway so may aswell do a 10 min detour to pick you up. :) Just PM me when you know.
