View Full Version : If your house was burning down...
Lindseyw 18-08-2003, 13:24 If your house was burning down, what thing / possesion / person you would save ?
It's just hit me that my last few posts have been so very damn cheerful !!
Agent Orange 18-08-2003, 13:33 I would save myself as being the only 'me', I would be very difficult to replace:lol:
cosywolf 18-08-2003, 19:12 My gorgeous man and my gorgeous dog. Oh, and me.
No question.
pontious 18-08-2003, 19:13 My guitar and me new banjo.

LOL hahahahaa
Me and anybody else who might be there at the time! I don't think I'd be thinking about personal possessions cos on a not so cheery note: I've seen real-time video recordings of how quickly the smoke can spread, so I think I'd just want to make sure I got out!
Would you try to save any possessions Lindsey?
After the rest of the family and the dog it would be the computer and the guitar.
A key.
Any key, back door, front door or window. Whichever one lets me get out. Failing that something heavy to smash a window. Then, any living creatures in the house.
Probably leave the koi in the pond as they could probably put themselves out if they caught fire.
Lindseyw 20-08-2003, 15:08 just my family Lou :)
I would save my ladyfriend, as she is the most important person in my life, if anything happened to her I might as well kill myself as my life would be over.
Possessions are just trash, and are of no REAL value, it is a flesh and blood companion who makes ones life happy, someone to love, hold, embrace, kiss, talk to, sleep with that makes this life worthwhile.
Tony Ruscoe 20-08-2003, 15:29 I'd be careful how you word things halevan as it sounds like you're saying that people without a partner have no life... which surely isn't true for everyone... is it!?! ;)
kittykat 20-08-2003, 23:51 If it was just me in the house i would save my kitties. I could live with myself knowing they were in the house.

You have a pond in your house!? I knew someone who had a fishpond under their stairs, but I thought it was a one off
We keep our back door key on a hook just inside the kitchen, 2 ft off the ground, so we can find it even when the room is full of smoke.
If I could safely rescue one posession after pets and family were out, it would be all my pictures on my data drive.

Ho, ho, ho.
I only asked because I know someone who does have a pond in their house - designed by a mad architect apparently
