View Full Version : If you were a tv star?
Who would you be, or which show would you like to be in?
For me the A-Team, just to be near Mr-T would be enough!
Although I would like to be in Spaced or Black books two of my favourite comedies of late.
It would have to be Spooks, How cool would it be to be a spy?
Mat:)
StarSparkle 19-12-2004, 14:11 I'd love Tia Carrere's job in "Relic Hunter" - like Indiana Jones, an archaeology lecturer who goes searching for ancient lost artefacts in the university holidays!
Reminds me of my childhood ambition to go exploring the jungles of the Amazon ..... and find out what happened to Colonel Fawcett ..... and discover a lost city or two .....
Ahhh, dreams :)

I'd be in Neighbours, playing Sky Mangel's new love interest... Hey I can dream can't I?

Lord Flasheart: (said appreciatively) "Woof, Woof!"
Baldrick: "Bark!"
Lord Flasheart, now there's a man! Someone I forgot when thinking about this.
BrainThrust 19-12-2004, 19:58 You know what, there are very few TV characters I'd like to be.
Maybe I watch the wrong type of TV. Maybe because the only comedy i've found funny in the last year has been peep show and nighty night, I wouldn't want to be on those shows either, they show too much of (ie. nothing but) the negative side.
I guess it'd be pretty cool to be Vash the Stampede from Trigun
Wilf
I'd like to be in peep show, but people already say im mark from that anyway...
also, i think it'd be novel to be a head in a jar in futurama :P
Hmmmm.........
One of the Lone Gunmen!
Alternatively, Miles O'Brien's role in Deep Space 9 or Malcolm's role in Enterprise.
Joe
AS a youth I used to really like Captain Scarlet (indistructable) but am reticent to choose this one as wouldnt want to be seen as a super dummy. I think possibly. Dr Who. Tom Baker. Really eccentric, funny & has two hearts. Oh! Sherlock Holmes
muddycoffee 20-12-2004, 12:39 I would hate to be famous or a TV star. No amount of money could compensate me for my loss of relative anonymity. So many of my friends from college have moved to sheffield from their small home towns, because they couldn't go anywhere without meeting relatives/parent's friends, where you can happily walk around town safe in the knowledge that you might not see a face you have seen before.
However famous people I respect and who I would like to be a little like, are
Vivian Stanshall (possibly the greatest Englishman ever) see this link >> http://www.rocknroll.f9.co.uk/faceHair/englishmen.html#viv
Chris Morris - never afraid to step on anyone's toes
Michel Thomas - Brave war hero and polyglot I would love to be fluent in 8 languages, and spend my life teaching people how easy it is to speak them.
If people like this were on tv a bit more then it would be worth watching.

You wouldn't REALLY want to be Miles O'Brien, would you?! Absolutely lovely man, but he kept having horrendously awful things happening to him! Torture (both physical and mental), cloning, death and near-death experiences, not to mention worst of all being married to the dreadful Keiko!
Now I quite like the idea of being one of the Lone Gunmen - just as long as I didn't have to look like them! (Although the slightly-more-presentable one with the beard is actually quite cute!) ;)

My wife thinks I look like the actor, Ray Winstone "on a bad day". For my part, I'd probably like to be Brian Sewell the art critic. I really enjoy his occasional forays into television, where he is usually inveighing against sublimely-fatuous examples of contemporary "conceptual art", or ridiculing, mocking and humiliating the posturing charlatans who produce it. Yes, I think I would get on very well with dear Brian.

Yes, Miles was one of the script-writer's play things. A bit like Harry Kim in Voyager - what evil can we inflict on him next?
But he did get to play with cool gadgets!
By outlook and inclination I'd have to be one of the 'dodgier' ones in The Lone Gunmen - the Garth look alike or the one who was vaguely like a gnome...:)
