Been having computer problems lately so i've been formatting a lot,now when i load PCGuard i get a message saying i have used up my licenses.Apparently you are only allowed to use PCGuard on 3 computers,i have 2 but i don't use them both at the same time.So what is it with VM,it's not as though i'm pirating the program?.So i'm left with only the firewall functioning,no anti virus or anti spyware.Feel like telling them where they can shove their broadband.

dont use it...........id never use ANY software thrust upon me when buying acomputer or broadband etc

antispyware use spybot and adaware
antivirus use grisoft avg
firewall use zone alarm, comodo among others
all free and never run out
also better than most of the dross given away by companies in other companies pockets

Thanks mel,i've tried adaware today but can't seem to get on with it.I'm using AVG at the moment and will give Zone Alarm a try.The trouble with freebies is a lot of them will do a free scan,but if you want to remove any nasties you have to register the product,register=pay for it.

Plug the ethernet cable in the back of your PC and your Windows will does the rest. Sure in my case I added a router and fixed IPs but not everyone does.

What do you call broadband; cable or ADSL? Not quite the same.

Switched computer on this morning and after about half an hour every thing was back to normal,just had to remove PcGuard from a couple of other partitions to satisfy VMs rules now all is ok.Thanks for all the replies.

would like to say if your using a old pc dont try zonealarm it can eat your CPU but it is a very good firewall i liked it ,it not like me :(
