what does a typical week look like for you?

how many skills sessions per week?

what about supplementary training? (running, weights, plyometrics, kettlebells, isometrics, bodyweight exercises, etc.). anything specific for your chosen art(s)?

well been shackled by a 9-5 its far more limited than id like.

train 2 or 3 times a week - kung fu.

supplementary wise i try stretch regularly and do flexibility exercises
practice chi gung - internal and external
practice forms but not enough!
basic stances-horse stances etc.
improvise training aids dont use many weights- bike inner tubes can be interesting!
basic conditioning- and wall mount pad striking (dont have hanging bag)
knuckle press ups - to fiinger presses (in moderation)
calf raises
some 'rooting' techniques from from kung fu /xing yi.
balance
run now and again
use of leg weights is good..
'planks'
...

Two sessions a week. That's it, for regular things - occasionally go for a random jog or something. Usually train MMA with an occasional capoiera class thrown in. When I have a bit more free time I'd like to start doing weights and cardio at the gym, up it to 3-4 classes a week and work on flexibility, but right now I can't. Right now I'm doing 12+ hour days dropping to 6 hours at weekends with PhD, but it should get much more relaxed after mid-August.

I train BJJ 4 times a week including one private lesson. I train/teach one traditional Jiu Jitsu class and maybe take an extra class depending how knackered I am on a Monday. I run two/three times a week (one hill reps or sprints and one steady run) and I try to fit in one or two weights/kettleball sessions (this is the bit of my training that I really hate). I train six days and rest one, normally a Sunday!

Wow, that's a busy schedule madrev! I think I'll be in knots the next time we roll... :)

Being over 40 (old git) I'm much more fanatical/particular (depending on your perspective...ask my wife here!) about my training as there's a real sense of 'use it or lose it'.

there's the old saying that to assume makes an ass out of u and me, but i'm still going to venture that you'don't have any big relationship commitments Richard, or is your partner just INCREDIBLY understanding? ;)

Hi Everyone
Im not competing at the moment and have no short term plans to compete but I still do bits and bobs when I get time.
Close to a fight night, most of my energy is spent getting my fighters ready. As a result during those times I simply dont have time to get onto the pads or run on the treadmill as everyone needs taking on the pads or helping with aspects of their training.

This is what I did this week.
Monday= Didnt get the chance to train
Tuesday= 3x2mins focus mitts, 3x2mins Thai pads, 6x2mins Sparring
Wednesday= 6x3mins Boxing sparring , 3 mins Thaipads, 3 mins Push kick on kick shield

Thursday= Ended up teaching the classes as Instructor Mark Howarth couldnt make it :P
Hence couldnt train (normally do a 2 mile run on the treadmill and some abs)

Friday= 5x2 mins thai pads, 3x2mins kick shield , 6x2 mins Sparring.

I know this sounds like a poor schedule but I'm only training to "keep ticking over" not quite fight training.

muay thai lessons 2-4 times a week. odd bag work class too if I have time, and also odd private lesson every few week.

gym once a week, and odd run or other sporting activity.

difficult working full time, and setting up/running my own business at the same time tho.
