I was looking at some arial shot of sheffield city centre on Saturday and spotted the old egg box town hall.

I notice that there was a large garden area on the roof. I never knew there was one there till now.

Was it ever accessable to the public or only for the workers there?

Were you one of the lucky few to have been there?

I think this was covered in an earlier post. Not sure where though.

Used to work on the top floor of the town hall extension. It wasn't open to the public, but it was a great place to have lunch in the summer!

It was always in demand by tv crews wanting a good vantage point.
