Is this the strongest ever line up in the Premiership.

Apart from possible Derby, there seem to be no obviously weak teams.Even Derby have invested quite heavily as have Sunderland and Birmingham.

It is hard to pick a bottom three but my money is on Derby, Fulham and Wigan to be near the bottom.

Any takers?

I'd agree with Derby and Wigan but somehow Fulham always seem to be able to avoid the drop.

Sunderland might struggle this season.

Although Keane has worked wonders at Sunderland, I think it remains to be seen how he will do in the Premiership.

Good question. Though I fear it is all relative.

This season more than ever (following a number of takeovers) teams seem to be spending money like it is going out of fashion. However, there are only so many good players to go round, and increasingly, stupid money is being paid for average on unproven players. This creates something of a smokescreen, which hides the fact its pretty much the same standard of players knocking around, just for a lot more money, and possibly apportioned a little more evenly throughout the league.

The final analysis unfortunately is still somewhat predictable. Man Utd and Chelsea in the top 2, Liverpool, arsenal and spurs occupying the next three places, then one of a number of teams chasing Europe (as always happens)

Derby, Wigan, Sunderland and Brum look the weakest teams on paper, though I wouldn’t rule out Boro being sucked into a fight.

Going to be a tough season, I think. It's hard to pick who will be favourites, Man Utd with Tevez maybe without him not so sure. Liverpool have spent big and will be looking to be up there, not sure about Chelsea.

Fulham look a weak team for the Prem.

Wanna see Chelsea part company with Jose for not taking the title again :hihi:

Reckon West Ham for drop along with Wigan and Derby, Usual 4 in top 4 but not sure of order as they have all added top quality players eg Pizario, Malouda, Nani, Anderson, Torres, Babel and Eduardo. Figure Eduardo for top scorer.

I think Middlesborough, Wigan and Derby will go down. Bolton might not be the steady ship it was with big Sam. I think Spurs have the depth to really push this year. But I still think it'll be Man Utd who take the title, with Chelsea second. I don't thikn Man City will do all that well. I have a feeling that the chaiman might interfere too much.

I wouldn't say this is the strongest ever Premiership. As usual, it will be the same sides battling for the top places, with the usual suspects and newly promoted teams making up the bottom half.

Sunderland may be the usual 'surprise' package and place the highest of the promoted teams.

Man Utd or Chelsea for the title.

3-5 between Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal.

Wigan, Fulham, Derby, Birmingham and Reading to scrap against relegation.

Have to agree WH won't go down.

Derby, Wigan and Boro to go down for me.

Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool to fight it out at the top.
