Hi,

I'm trying to plan a wedding on a budget, and want to surpise my future wife by sending a nice wedding car to pick her up (at the moment she's planning to just be driven by a friend). This would literally be about a 5 mile journey from where she's staying in Hillsborough to the wedding venue... All of the wedding car services seem to charge about £250+ for this service, which seems a bit steep for a 5 mile lift! Is there anyone with a nice classic car (I'm imagining something like an 70's jag / merc etc, but open to all offers!) who would consider giving her a lift next February, 2008? I'd obviously be willing to pay someone for their time, but was thinking of something somewhat less than what official companies seem to charge...

Any offers or ideas very welcome,

Mike

Hi,

We're have the same problem, and feel the same about the high cost of a posh "taxi".

Have you had any offers yet????

i've got the same problem! I want to arrange something like a mk 2 granada to pick my bloke up (no other details yet as its not till next year!) but anyone thinking they may be able to with a similar 70's or 80's car for a bit of cash and a pint please let me know!

I'm looking for something a little moore vintage, Austin 7, sort of thing, but obviously must have 4 doors. It's a bit hard to get a bride in and out of a two door. LOL.
Thanks for the offer Phylis anyway.

I took a lateral thinking approach to this thorny question myself- I hired a limo from an undertakers instead. It was pale grey and they decked the whole car out in fresh flowers and ribbons in a colour of my choice for £100. The one down side was that I couldn't find anything classic and interesting for a sensible price (even for a midweek day in winter) so subtle and understated had to do.

I saw a pink mk2 Granada hearse on ebay a while ago. I really wanted that car. It was awsome.

One of my friends when I was growing up was regularly driven round in a purple metallic hearse. Her dad's other car was a Ford van from 1955. They were an interesting family ;)

Was their second name "Addams" by any chance? :)

Give us a ring at Q jump limo's (ring the salon number at the bottom of this post)

We have a classic jag, a ford lincoln excalibur limousine (white), a 1966 black beardmore (which has been used in a film about john lennon and the beatles) a silver ford lincoln destiny limousine and a pink playboy ford lincoln limousine.

We are very competetive regarding prices and our service is second to none.
