I need someone to treat a damp patch on my lounge wall.....who can do it?

First things first, find out what caused the damp patch, if it's a hole in the wall, burst/leaking pipe, or worn out pointing, then just patching up will be a waste, the patch will reappear shortly after.

thanks to all of you that have responded...i need a damp proofer and then re plastering up......any one know who could do it...........oh and i dont want acowboy job!!

I've just had a quote done by Higginbotton & Lascelles for something similar. The bloke who came round seemed really nice (down to earth, honest and friendly) and explained things in a straighforward way. The quote they've given seems really reasonable aswell.
