The title says it all really. Are there any places in s8 which have been flooded? I have felt so sorry for you all :( and don't want the same to happen to us in the future.
Thanks
Jenny

Thanks Jenny Green Web 23-07-2007, 11:39 Apart from maybe Woodseats I'd say it's pretty safe considering most of it's high up, also S8 covers a huge area from Bradway Lowedges down to Meersbrook / Norton, could be a bit more specific? abbyzeeble 23-07-2007, 14:10 Hi Gree Web, we were thinking of Norton or Norton Lees area. We're going up tomorrow to have a look (we're in Essex at the moment). Jenny ken1 23-07-2007, 16:48 theres no chance of flooding there, its at about 600 feet, everyone else would be in big trouble if it flooded in norton. S8 Blade 23-07-2007, 17:35 The only place really that floods in S8 is Heeley Bridge (almost town) and sometimes outside Woodseats Library - but that's basically it - most of S8 is on a big hill - and Norton/Norton Lees certainly is!! abbyzeeble 23-07-2007, 22:17 Thanks guys, taht's put my mind at rest. It's perfect for us as I'm going to be working in s2 and my husband in s11. abbyzeeble Longcol 23-07-2007, 23:42 The only place really that floods in S8 is Heeley Bridge (almost town) and sometimes outside Woodseats Library - but that's basically it - most of S8 is on a big hill - and Norton/Norton Lees certainly is!! Pretty sure Heeley Bridge is S2 anyway. |
