Well it's been a long road for him and the project but it really does look like it's going to become a reality.

When Intel switched their position and got on board, it all started to happen, so a big thanks to Intel for doing the right thing.

This could be really interesting.

It will be interesting to see the increase in the amount of ebay scams happening!!
Then there is also the problem with the laptops actually reaching the children and not being sold on the black market to finance drugs, wars etc.

On the other hand if it does work and there is no corruption it will be a very good scheme, maybe there will be a donation scheme where as you could donate the money to buy someone one??

Just my opinions though.

yet they are using an AMD cpu ;)

-- I think its a brilliant idea, and im sure some of the OS and hardware ideas can be pulled through and used in normal, full sized laptops..
