I need to replace my Lowepro Mini trekker backpack which after years of hard use it is starting to get a little worn, I also need something a little bigger.
As I take my camera gear walking / hiking I am looking towards an all weather bag and at the moment the new Lowepro Vertex 100 is favourite, it has better padding and straps than my current bag, but isn't too much bigger.
Does anyone have any experience of the Vertex range?
ive just bought a tamrac, slighter deeper version of the mini trekker.
it does seem a little more robust than the trekker.
my only gripe with backpack is stopping and unloading etc.
seriously considering a slingshot for next years trip[ top to Borneo.
I recently bought one of the crumpler pretty boy series, it's nice and big and fits my laptop in it too. So it should be perfect for my trip to Scotland in a few weeks!
Not used it yet, but I've tried it out to see how much it fits and I can get all my clothes for the week, laptop, DSLR plus 4 lenses. Pretty ace so far!
i have a tamrac adventure 9 back pack. I love it. Can fit camera with grip and plenty of lenses.

I dived in and got the Vertex 100, big enough to hold a couple of bodies, several lenses, flash and all the other gubbins.
Padding on both straps and the pack itself looks excellent, water resistant zips are a nice idea.
Will report back after I have used it in the field.
I now need a shoulder bag for use in town!

I have a few Crumplers, wouldn't swap them for anything!
Have used one every day for the last 4 years and it still looks brand new!

Thanks for the reminder but my claim already went in the post, last time I waited I forgot about claiming for a Canon 17-40 cashback!

Which Crumpler do you have and what kit to you carry in it?
I need a city bag, and a Crumpler is a possible.
I have a Crippy Duck for every day use - not a camera bag but a laptop bag.
A shrinkle for Photo use;

and a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge holdall on rollerhockey wheels that I can't remember the name of.
You'd be looking at a Crumpler GeekStar or similar for the city.
