Today I rented Ghost Rider. Its an absolutely brilliant film and I would recommend it to anyone. There wasnt one time when I was bored I was constantly on the edge of my seat.

I also rented a film called ShortBus. When I saw the cover all I read was the cover saying "romantic comedy" and thought it sounded like a good film. I was wong it ended up been one of the worse films I have ever seen. It might as well have been a top shelf film (it was in the middle shelf with all the new releases) There seamed to be no storyline and was just all over the place. Dont waste your money with this.

Shortbus was made as a reaction to the virulent puritanism and Christian fundamentalism sweeping America and poisoning the government. It's like Hair in the 60s, when the onstage nudity was the whole point. I haven't seen it, but it's a pity if that context and motivation doesn't come across within the film in some way.

Was not too fussed about Shortbus - but now that you have said that the truely awful Ghost Rider is brilliant I have added Shortbus to my rental list :p

Is the term "short bus" used in England the way it is in America? Because "short bus" is an insult that refers to the smaller school bus used to transport mentally/physically disabled students to school. To say that someone "rides the short bus" is to suggest that they have less than normal intelligence.

The film itself was just ok. Well directed and the actors are talented, but just another bunch of unhappy, self-centered, self-absorbed people running around thinking they invented sex. Yawn. :rolleyes:

short bus was a truly crap film, the start of it was terrible and had the artistic merit of someone ******* in the bath, which is a coincidence cos thats exactly how it starts, it (the film )was just trying to scream 'look we don't want a 'normal' sex life but look how many folks there are that also think this way, so q e d we must be normal now lets all try to be happy ' and the rousing gay pride celebration style finale- ********,
was not impressed
haven't seen ghost rider.
