Call me old fashioned but I've always liked Goodison Park (despite the fact that I've never seen the Blades lose there; think I've been 4 times).

It's traditional and is of an interesting design. These new stadia are bland and they all look pretty much alike to me. I also don't think new grounds create the same atmosphere as the old ones.

And anyways, that can't be Everton's new ground. Where's the church?!!

i love goodison too, its a grand old stadium. full of character and the church just makes it special and totally unique! but its old and the restricted views are infuriating..

i like the fact they are going to keep it as a stadium rather than a bowl because that gives it a bit of character..

Preach I take it that you are in favour of the move, but aren't most of the supporters against moving to Kirkby? The club are holding a ballot to see if the fans want to go to Kirkby, whats the point? Even if the fans vote against it the board seem determined to go.

yeah im in favour. the talk of it being out of liverpool is a joke! technically aintree race course is in sefton but nobody would say the grand national is not in liverpool!

it was part of the city until the council boundaries were changed not too long ago. would you say bootle is not part of liverpool?

as for the ground itself, im realistic, we cant afford to pay for one like liverpool can. even though i dont understand why we are so cash strapped this stadium is a bargain and liverpool council have already said they cant just give us £50 million pounds worth of land like kirkby is going to!

lets move to kirkby but mourn arguably the greatest stadium the country has seen over the years. for those who have been, its ageing but full of character and when goodison rocks it really rocks (prob due to its age :D )

Liverpool's boundaries are definitely bizarre. Bootle, Crosby, Halewood, Kirkby, Huyton, etc. - all urban Liverpool but not officially part of the city. Strange.
