Does anyone know when its re-opening?

Was walking past tonight and saw some wagons on penistone road with B&Q on them which i think were turning into the Car Park so " YE GRAND REOPENING EVENT",May well be imminent.

Sandbags are half price too I reckon.

Why has the Queens Road one removed the word Warehouse from all its signage?

I know someone working on the clean up. It was really bad in there and B&Q insisted that all the stock was thrown away (not given away). The whole place had to be heated to 70 degrees to kill the bacteria.

Currently undergoing a major refit and the entrance door has been moved from the side to underneath that sign.

Apparently, there are goin to be loads of electrical bargains next week as they clear the stock ready for that section to be done.

If you want bargains, (but a very limited range of stock) that's the store to go to... if you want a full range to choose from, go to Darnall.

I work on Darnall B&Q and talking to a guy from Penistone road they are planning on a November re-opening and from what i can gather it will be a completely new store, not just a re-hash of the previous one.

Slight confusion I think - Queens Roads grand re-openeing (after revamp) is in September.

I was told it would be three months- that takes us to October, and was given a £5 voucher to spend in Darnall!!

There was a staff meeting on Tuesday and the current plan is to re-open first week in November. This date could move either way by up to 2 weeks.

the queens road store is still open during the revamp there, but all the revamp work is due to be completed in september, there are lots of reduced bargains to be had all the way through the revamp
