It was a great day. She brought 2 huge suitcases of garments and it was knitterly chaos with everybody trying them on! She is such good fun and really inspiring. She must have gone home with writers cramp as she certainly signed a few books - including some quite old ones that people brought in! I have to say that her new collection is very good. It is always such an eye opener seeing these things "in the flesh". Very flattering jackets and adorable baby things. Next time I think I need a marquee out the back:) Got a trifle "standing room only" on several occasions. Good job Jean was in full control of the tea and coffee facility...... It would be so easy to have a shop devoted to just Debbie Bliss yarns and patterns....hmm.. there's a thought.... Wool4brains 20-07-2007, 22:32 Does she do sock yarn? No, well that's the DB-only store blown out of the water then. Wheezy 20-07-2007, 23:23 Glad you all had a lovely time and I look forward to getting my book next week. Keep it safe for me won't you? AmelieB 21-07-2007, 09:02 They wouldn't let me out of work to come and play. I really wanted to give her my humble badgerly opinion on a few things too.... Bami 22-07-2007, 14:14 Great you had a wonderful day. I'd have loved to come as well but other things stopped me. Hopefully next time. Debbie Bliss must have been very pleased too with all the enthusiasm. Will she come back? I'll keep an eye on your site for other events. maramcp 23-07-2007, 16:44 Well, in my defence it is a book that my current project is in, and I have nearly finished it now! It was great fun, and I am looking forward to the yarns and patterns books being around soon for the projects I have my eyes on ... Thanks Jill. knitbird 23-07-2007, 19:34 I'm jealous, I wanted to come and play too! (I also wanted cake.) |
