I'll start with two:

Whilst reading a subject, if you right-click you will get a 'back' option which takes you back to the list where your subject is. This way you can work your way down the list without too much scrolling.
Note that it does not refresh the list, which is where

F5 will refresh the list or subject.

Alt-F4 closes the current window

Ctrl-C Copies selected text, Ctrl-V pastes selected text.

Alt-S automatically sends the post, without having to click "submit"

ctrl F brings up the find window. Make sure you are in full screen or the high-lighted text may be out of sight. (That's a Sixties expression)

Are we all using the same browser here?

Even, are we using the same forum package, because one i've been on lately uses VB code, not BB code. My tip there is, it won't work unless you have JS turned on, but the way around it is to preview it before submitting it, then it converts the BB code into VB code for you...

Weird, this forum is vBulletin 3.8.0 and the other one in question uses vBulletin 3.7.3, maybe it's a configuration option (i've never installed vBulletin).

Oh another tip for firefox users. You know when they update the browser and you seem to lose some functionality from the 'preferences', well fear not, type 'about:config' into the address bar and there's a plethora of options for you to tweak.

You also use 'about:plugins' to find out information about your installed plugins.

You can tab through the different options on a web page (ie text boxes, buttons, checkboxes etc) and use the space bar to select them.

This means when typing a reply, when finished you can just hit <tab> then <space> to submit it rather than stopping typing, moving hand to mouse and then clicking submit reply.

You can add a spell checker for free in your Firefox browser by installing a dictionary.

On FF in 'Preferences', under the 'Advanced' tab there is a checkbox for it to check your spelling as you type, it underlines it with a red line, if you then right click on the word it'll give you suggestions (plus all the other milarky). I believe the language is set via 'Content' -> 'Languages', but I may be wrong...
