.....Yep -that's pretty much the whole band then!

You will need your own gear and enough drive to practice once a week and try and get gigs every couple of weeks in and around the Sheffield Area.

The idea being to play Wishbone Ash songs - past to present, have a great laugh and keep Wishbone Ash music in Sheffield all year round.

Plenty of personality a must - age range....what, 20+ to knackered? Should cover enough folks.

Would like the main drive to be WA tunes but happy to play other covers to throw into the mix as required.

Get back to me if you're interested. Absolutely desperate to get gigging again!!

All the best

Richard

is there that much call for wishbone ash?? not meaning to slag em off or anything but it just suprises me that their would be a audience for a cover band for them?

There's a few dotted around the UK but nothing in the south yorkshire area. They have plenty of bookings and i think throw in a few well known songs to keep the "casual punter" happy.

The Wishbone Ash "community" are quite close and good at supporting the music so I'm sure we'd get a few gigs now and then along with a few people along to come and listen. The main thing is to get playing and enjoy the music - work hard and see if we get good enough to play live.

Thanks for the reply though pal - at least i know people are reading which is good!

good luck with it, i'll pm you 3 or 4 sites to find people on....i've found plenty of bandmates in the past so should be able to point you in the direction of places to try. (if you dont get the pm in a couple of days remind me.. i'm forgetful at best of times)

maybe get a few flyers printed up and take them along to similar style gigs and leave them around on the tables.. might be worth a shot.
