It is easy to spend too much time looking though. When you decide, can you pop some in the post for me. I am barely allowed in the kitchen anymore.... sobs.... Good Luck antway. Ingredients 2 tbsp olive oil 1 clove garlic, chopped ˝ onion, sliced 30g/1oz butter 1 handful grated potato 290ml/˝ pint vegetable stock ˝ head broccoli, chopped 75g/3oz stilton, cubed 85ml/3fl oz double cream 1 tsp thyme, chopped Method 1. Sauté the garlic and onion in the butter and oil for 2-3 minutes. 2. Add the potato and stock and simmer for 7-8 minutes until the potato is tender. 3. Add all the other ingredients and simmer for 2-3 minutes. 4. Blend the soup in a food processor. 5. Pour into a bowl and serve. or this one sounds good. http://www.chefdoctor.co.uk/recipe.asp?Ethnic=British&ID=461 onedizzybird 15-12-2004, 13:07 thank you for the suggestions, since i've never made any before i think i'll do a trial run of owldlad's recipe... i will let you know how i get on .... cheers all :) onedizzybird 29-12-2004, 20:36 was very successful i used ... 1lb of broccoli 1/2lb of blue stilton 1 1/2 pints of vegtable stock 1/4 pint of single cream some butter 1 onion 2 cloves of garlic fried the onion and garlic in the butter, once they looked doneish i added the broccoli and fried for a further 2 minutes, i then added the vegetable stock and boiled until the brocolli was softish. i then added the stilton and put the lot in the blender, once blended i popped it back in the pan and added lots of black pepper and the cream....delicious! it served 4 and the only thing that would have made it better would be a glass of white wine. thanks for the recipe suggestions, i think i will definately be making this again! kookers 22-03-2010, 10:29 I use this soup recipe (http://mychickensoup.info) and it was the best we have tried.
