I think they're great - love the Parkhill ones. I hope you keep a photographic record of all the changes that are planned there? I really liked the tram stop one too.

I love that effect.

I never expect to be disappointed by your stuff Pete, and I wasn't.

Superb pics.

I did a similar thing using film, and sticking the pictures together, from a 22nd floor apartment in Spain, and the 9th floor of Claywood block, before it was knocked. Neither have that effect:( :hihi:

<plug>**cough** don't forget to post stuff in the new photo section </plug>

Sorry Pete, whilst I've praised much of your other work very highly, I'm afraid that these don't come into the same category in my opinion.

I find them far too 'Arty' and also extremely irritating and unpleasing to view, though it would appear that my taste is a minority one...

But as they say.. "To each, their own", my friend... and I'm no art-connoisseur ! :)

Easy to do. just boredom and a camera would be enough.

but why ? you can get perfectly good picture without sticking a load together and putting your name on the bottom

lol!

yes it'd save fitting all those pics together!

they were all done with a yashica t4 compact 35mm camera. i think the lens in 35mm. it's auto exposure, but it goes from f2.8/b up to f16/500th

*fetches anorak*

.....

i'm getting off topic here but your post reminded me of this montage that i scanned and uploaded today....

it's from the eiffel tower so its just south of sheffield.

whaddya think about it "deliberately" not quite fitting together? i can never quite decide whether to leave bits not fitting or not. there's an effect with not joining right but there are limits to how badly you can "Not" join 'em:

that's ok! don't apologise! you are right, they can be irritating. i think there is a knack to getting it right, which is partly why i posted 'em!

the one that irritates me is the tram stop one, but i also felt someone else might like it best...which they did!

i've another one even more topsy-turvy, of park hill steps, which you will either love or hate, so i'll scan it and post it soon

lol fair point!

i think they become an obsession once you start doing them. i suppose it just makes a change from the normal way. i also think they work best with, say, three joined up like the crucible one, making a different shape from the usual 6" x 4".
