View Full Version : BT and NTL Broadband - any good? theflyingfish 14-12-2004, 08:30 Anyone use either of these? Are they any good? cheers Rich 14-12-2004, 12:09 BT is massively over-subscribed, so expect downtime with their Broadband until they upgrade the exchanges, our local exchange at Wadsley Bridge is being upgraded next week apparently, should hopefully fix problems we've been having with Wanadoo Broadband according to their techies. Tony_BLiar 14-12-2004, 14:01 NTL are fantastic, never had a problem in my 6 months of beautiful broadband surfing! mr.blaze 15-12-2004, 03:35 I have been with BT for about 3 years. However this is not down to choice, I just haven't been able to get through to their Cancellation number. They are overpriced compared to other ISP's. Check out Plus Net www.plus.net Strix 15-12-2004, 06:27 This may also be of interest (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23444&highlight=broadband) There's a link in there to compare service providers. theflyingfish 15-12-2004, 08:14 Thanks guys - I have since looked at plus and they seem to be the best bet so far. This is all a bit new to me. igm1 15-12-2004, 08:35 I'm with BT. Had problems setting up the network and the internet itself with them. Their customer service is awful. Now it seems to be working well, it's fast enough but it could be faster I guess. Maybe the upgrade might do that for us. |
