Looking at tonights fight between Mr Sprott and Mr Skelton I have to wonder what would have happened if a 25 year old Frank Bruno was on the scene now.

I believe we would know without doubt who the best heavyweight in the country was, and I truely believe Frank would be a World Champion now.

Sadly in my opinion Frank was at his peak 20 years too early.

What do others think?

skelton on points - frank had his flaws (lots of 'em), but i think he was better than any of the current british heavyweights

Would totally agree, I think he'd destroy the 4 top current british heavyweights when in his prime. I'd also reckon he would be world champion now and have the ability to make a number of defenses.

It was a shame his prime happened at the same time as Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson.

Dont know Skelton not a very skillfull fighter but he can have a dog fight when he has to got a good chin as well take him to beat Bruno,Lewis would have beaten him up with the Jab like he did Tyson

They are brothers and not twins. David Haye looks a very exciting heavyweight prospect.

wow o my god this weekend alfonso gomez a fighter from the itv series contender went up aganist a ring legend in arturo gatti dont get me wrong i know gatti is getting on a bit at 35 but to be honest calzagie is 35 and in best form of his life but anyway gomez battered gatti from the word go the bookies must have made a load on this as gomez must havre been a rank outsider for this 1 but as a contender he was a warrior fighting super middle weights and beating them and hes only a welter weight i say come on alfonso gomez u could be a real star top lad he is 2

Gatti is completely shot. He's had too many wars and he's finished. It's not got that much to do with Gomez. That's why Gatti's just retired, he knows he hasn't got it anymore. Gomez is a good guy but he's had his 15 minutes of fame. If he tries to move up in class he'll get humiliated.

If he can handle the step up in weight then there is no reason why he cant be a big talent at the heavy weight division.
