I am selling for the first time on eBay and have put an item up but cannot figure out how I set a reserve price, I do not want it to go for a measley sum but cannot find how to do this.

There is a buy it now price but no reserve, can someone please help.

On the bit where you put the starting price and Buy It Now price, there's a link immediately below which enables you to set a reserve.

Just to let you know that advice I've seen from experienced ebay sellers is that this tends to put would be buyers off

I have usually put a starting price on first, rather than a reserve price and have had no problems selling as long as you put a reasonable start price on.

I am currently selling a playpen and have started it at a fiver, which I think is reasonable.
