I've got a load of english spiderman comics from the 70's and wondered if anyone knew if they are worth anything or where I could get a realistic valuation of them.

I have issues 1 - 400, with about 20 issues missing. They're in good condition but some have worn a little.

I'm not interested in selling them, just curious to find out a little about them.

Have you searched ebay to see whether there are similar magazines on there? ebay tends to 'make' a lot of market prices in the collectibles arena these days, so that might be a first port of call.

From my very limited knowledge, the real value with comics comes from them being a close to 'mint' as they can be - unmarked, preferably un-read.
