On at least two occasions, I looked out of my bedroom window and saw the harvest moon, it was so beautifull it took my breath away. Is it true that lunatics are ruled by the moon? are they influenced by such a beautifull object, suspended in space, shining so bright in the black of night.

If so, I can well understand it as I felt very emotional whilst gazing upwards and trying to imagine the thoughts of the astronauts who stood on its surface looking at the earth, wondering if they would ever get back home.

by a harvest moon i assume you are talking about a full "yellow" looking moon?

Has anyone looked at Mars yet? It's bright enough in the sky!

Mars - Just to the right of the moon and up a bit. The bright one.

Can see a disc through binoculars!

It is a harvest moon, certainly, low and golden.

Yeah it was pretty bright last night, apparently a lot of cattle theft and poaching is done on nights like this.

All we're missing is some lovely wolves to sing for the moon, and the experience would be complete:D
