View Full Version : Dentists taking new patients? bhunaboy 11-07-2007, 11:32 Preferably in S12, anyone know any dentists that take on new patients that are on jobseekers allowance??? Paolo Coopio 11-07-2007, 12:28 Ha good luck Scott. I had a right job finding one. I live in neighbouring S20 and sat in pain for about 2 months. I eventually got seen at Dr Khafarzikar in Waterthorpe but only on a one off basis that I was near the point of having to have my face sliced open due to an infection. Try the walk in centre at the Hallamshire. bhunaboy 11-07-2007, 12:39 Paulo, my good man!!! God, it's not that bad is it? I want to get it sorted now whilst i'm still a scrounging doley as i'm not sure if you get it free when you're a scrounging student. :hihi: Paolo Coopio 11-07-2007, 12:46 Give NHS direct on 0845 4647 and see if they can suggest anything  Or ive got some plyers and Ill do it for a bit of Aunty Edna!:hihi: animal2477 11-07-2007, 12:51 handsworth dental surgery were taking new paitients a couple off weeks ago! Pseudonym 12-07-2007, 04:27 Taptonville House Dental Practice ... NHS/Private 1, Taptonville Road Broomhill, Sheffield S10 SBQ Tel: 0845 122 7787 The only possible drawback is that the dentists that treat you are students in their final year... But they are FULLY supervised by experienced senior dentists. I found that they were extremely good at what they did and were MUCH more considerate, kind and understanding towards a very nervous patient (me!) than any dentist that I've ever been to in the past... not to mention also that the female ones were a damn site more attractive! ;) The place has free parking on the forecourt and it's a well-staffed modern building with up-to-date facilities in the individual dental surgeries. A point to note is that as their work is inspected and advised on at every stage by their tutors, they don't skip anything that needs doing and therefore do an excellent job each time. The fact that they are students worried me a little at first but after experiencing their care, I wish that I'd gone there years ago. I recommend them highly! |
