View Full Version : Virtual beach picnic
cosywolf 13-08-2003, 10:52 If you can't be there, you have to dream it *sigh*
Picture it: a lovely day, blue sky, not too hot, but warm enough to be comfie in a bathing suit and in the water.
A huge picnic basket, and loads of friends.
What else do you need?
I'd have a bucket in the shape of a castle for making sandcastles
Lots of sparkly windmills
Ham and cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off
An ice cream van parked nearby.
cosywolf 13-08-2003, 11:00 And a dog to join in with the frisbee throwing
A really good book
Binoculars for watching the boats sail past
Classic Rock 13-08-2003, 11:07 Factor 15 lotion and my walkman.
cosywolf 13-08-2003, 11:09 A vendor of yummy seafood passing by regularly
DaBouncer 13-08-2003, 11:26 Ice cream, yeah lots of ice cream. The frizbee is a great idea too. But what about the obligatory Beach Ball?

That's not what I'd be using em for!!! ;)
cosywolf 13-08-2003, 11:34 A giant inflatable beachball, then, and high-spec binoculars for DB to keep an eye on the naturist beach next door:lol:
Warm sunshine, my lady partner, food and drink, sunshades, double air bed, large parasol, camcorder, camera, binoculars, lots of time.

I would have thought a dedicated silver surfer like yourself Halevan would have had a laptop on his list. ;)
I never go the beach without my kite...mind you it is one of those action kites, two handed, and dead hard, so I usually have to take a patient bloke too, to untie all the knots in the string
Before I had finished typing S.W.M.B.O. called and I had to go, or else!!! :P :D

Of course, how could I forget? I have a kite that folds up into a little bag no bigger than the palm of my hand. It goes with me everywhere. Last time I was at the beach I spent many happy hours trying to get it to fly, crash-landing it, and saving it from Naya the Mighty Kite Hunting Dog.
So I agree. Lots of cool kites.
