Mo,
I am a musician, who has sometimes to become quickly conversant with all sorts of songs. I have a usual list of places which I often use the following to get chords and riffs, but they always have lyrics too. These sites save me lots of time, sometimes the key is wrong, but close enough to give me a good start.

http://www.chordie.com/
http://alt.venus.co.uk/weed/music/classtab/
http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/tab.html#static
http://www.iol.ie/~murphypj/
http://www.cstone.net/~sck/sck_pg6.html
http://www.ukgtrl.f9.co.uk/m.htm
http://www.wholenote.com/

there are hundreds of websites like this on the internet. many of them just blindly copy errors from others, purely to expand their database of songs. But If you know how to get the best out of search engines, (Like Ian above..) I suspect that you can find any tune/lyric that you require.

mmm ... I've been trying to find the lyrics for 'Christmas Mourning' by Julian Cope (off The Best of the BBC Sessions: Floored Genius, Vol. 2) without much success. If anyone can find these lyrics, I'd appreciate it if they could be posted up

Is this the song??

Wake up, it's Christmas mourn
Those loved has long since gone
The stockings are hung but who cares
Preserved for those no longer there
Six feet beneath me sleep

Black lights hang from the tree
Accents of dead holly

Whoa mistletoe
(It's growing cold)
I'm seeing ghosts
(I'm drinking old)
Red water
Red water
Red water chase them away

My table's been set for but seven
Just last year I dined with eleven
God damn ye merry gentlemen

Whoa mistletoe
(It's growing cold)
I'm seeing ghosts
(I'm drinking old)
Red water
Red water
Red water chase them away
