Is there any way of finding out how much time I have left of Internet use. Im on the £17.99 which allows me 8 hours a day but I dont know how to check how much time I have left . . . anyone know?

You didn't mention your supplier

17.99 a month and you only get 8 hours a day?

Which supplier is that, that really isn't a good deal!

What speed broadband is it?

It's with Wanadoo . . . the ones who I had all the problems with!

Time to swap to Force9 then? They don't cut you off, just bill you a little more next month (see second hyperlink). No time limit either. We pay £14.99/month for 1Mb connection

'Change to F9' info (http://portal.f9.net.uk/info2/move_broadband/index.html)

Edit: Here's the charges for exceding your tariff (http://www.f9.net.uk/support/faq/broadband_home_faq.shtml) Which seems painless enough, and is just added to next month's bill

would love to Strix but am contracted for 12 months with them now. Although I may very well move to F9 when Im done.

How about pressuring wannadoo into matching a better offer from somewhere like F9?

I noticed this week (on behalf of a colleague) that wannadoo don't have 24hr help lines and I think their call charges are higher.

Do you mean how much time you have been on the net for?

I originally thought you asked for a tool to work out how much of you cap you have left.

For the record it's BMExtreme v2.35 is what you want.

The Force 9 £14.99 deal has a data cap of 1GB though doesn't it.

Freedom2surf and Blueyonder do some good deals - wish I could still get Bloeyonder to be honest but can't since I moved.

that Force9 web-site is HORRIBLE, I cant actually find what the monthly download limits are for the different packages, you click somewhere to find out and it tells you other stuff like what 1gb equates to, or 3gb or 5gb... but not how big the quota's are!! =\

try looking here

http://www.adslguide.org.uk/

I've found it to be a good web-site for comparing, I'm trying to find a nice cheap one with no download limit's as I transfer a lot of large files from home to Uni and vice versa as well as downloading lots of things... so these 2gb, 5gb, 15gb things annoy me... I usually do about 20gb a month on average... I think...

Well this is the page you need

Force 9 packages (http://portal.f9.net.uk/products/residential/broadbandhome/)

There aren't specified limits - you choose the limit from the dropdown menu. Totally flexible. Upgrade when you want. Nobody else seems to give as much choice.

I've found it to be a good web-site for comparing, Thanks for that. Tried comparing ISPs and PlusNet/F9 seem to be coming out on top!!

Erm if you actually look at the site Freedom2Surf beats Plusnet...

I'm still not changing. I like having a 24hr help line who actually help, and the freedom to hop between so many options on my package, and no disconnect if I run over my limits and an e-mail address that doesn't get spammed to death and....... need I go on?

I just compared Freedom2Surf (current ISP), Blueyonder (old ISP) and Plusnet. I didn't bother going through them all. I'm just letting people know that there are better deals than Plusnet and they aren't the worlds greatest ISP as you seem to be touting - fair enough if you find they work OK then so be it but I've had dealings with them in the past and they were beyond useless. After loads of different ISP's over the years F2S have been the best for me (fingers crossed).

As posted above I can't seem to work out from F9's site if the Premier package has a data limit or not? Anyone care to enlighten me?

What problems did you have with them fnkysknky?

Overbilling, refusal to look into problem blah di blah - went on for months until finally they accepted they were wrong when threatened with legal action and refunded it. My mum and step dad still use them and still have problems.

Seems like others aren't too happy with some of their recent QOS and traffic shaping controls they've implemented for short periods of time recently....

That's only info for the current connection though so not much use for what letstat wants unless they are gonna keep a manual tab on how long they've been connected
