Thought I'd let you know I'm off on me hols tomorrow for a week... hopefully!

We're going to our caravan in Mablethorpe for a week, depending on the weather. I'm taking lots of knitting with me, a couple of socks and a Clapotis, and some cross stitch so if the weather does turn out bad, I've got plenty to do. I know there isn't really any yarn shops nearby so i've stocked up!

So, see you all next week.

Have a fantastic week, Jules. I'm not going to be able to get away anywhere til at least September, so I'm thoroughly jealous. Hope you have great time and lovely weather.

Hey Jules, there is a nice yarn shop in Sutton on Sea and then there are two in Skegness (one better than the other). All the cheapo shops/shacks like Yabba Dabbas have the eyelash yarn for 50p each. Have a lovely time.

Yes I usually visit the one in Sutton while I'm there but they don't have anything I fancy.

Do you know the name of the ones in Skegness by an chance?

Not sure of the names Jules, sorry, but they are on the main road from Chapel St. Leonards to Skegness. There are a row of shops and the two wool shops are about a mile from each other on the same stretch. One little wool shop has a pile of DK outside the shop at 99p a ball and the other is a bit more modern and has lots and lots of knitted items for sale, plus yarn and patterns of course.

Hope the above link is of some use. We can't remember the name of the road or the shops. I think it was across from a Bank though.

Also, if you are paying a visit to Slingsby(or is is Spilsby, can't remember which?!), there is a wool shop there, but we didn't go in. You MUST call in at the Patisserie though, as they have wonderful buns - not to be missed  Yes it is Spilsby! Oh Dear!!

I want to make one of those now! Is pure silk yarn suitable, as I noticed some Debbie Bliss on sale at The Wool Baa in yummy colours, or is a silk wool mix better?
