Has anyone else been effected by the plusnet security breach?

I receive around 20x more spam now then I used to ever since Plus Net failed to update a vulnerable webmail app which gave someone access to the customer database containing email addresses.

Isn't it utter rubbish how a comoany like Plusnet can just say sorry and forget about it, when it was our data they lost!

yep and spammed to death for a while but it seems to have calmed down now.
That in no way suggests I'm happy about it.

You could always just use Thunderbird's adaptive junk filter.. doesn't solve the problem, but stops you from seeing it.

Nothing for years and now flooded. Only started a couple of weeks ago.

I'm very careful about my email address. Thought it was my fault.
