Has anyone heard about this event tomorrow ( 7th July) and are any of you planning on going? It's being held at Blaze Farm, Wildboarclough nr Macclesfield (also an icecream farm!)

I hadn't heard of it, but it sounds great. Here are a couple of links:

Blaze Farm (http://www.blazefarm.com/) (with details of the ice cream).

I would have liked to have gone but as I went to Woolfest last weekend and picked up a kilo of Teeswater fleece from the sorting office this morning I dare not suggest a sheep-related activity for the weekend (although I am planning on a trip to Wentworth on Sunday)

Isle of Wight. I'm going to pack plenty of knitting so my friends can laugh at me :) In fact, I should be packing now, not faffing around on here...

It's not a sheep related activity, it's an ice cream related activity, is it your fault if there just happens to be wool there too?

May see you at Wentworth - will be stocking up for the felting class next week. Please stop me from buying ridiculous amounts of anything I walk past if you see me....

Did anyone go to this and what was it like?

I was there with my family representing the Arkwright Spinsters. I took my big walking wheel and all five of us were in costume so we were put in the middle.

It was a good day, similar to Woolfest but on a smaller scale. Janet from the Threshing Barn organised it and had a stall and there were a number of guilds there too. We met some interesting people during the day.
And of course the added advantage of home-made icecream!

The only drawback was that over 7 hours on my feet working the walking wheel made me pretty exhausted by the evening!

Is there a yarn shop at Wentworth?

It's not a yarn shop although it does sell some yarn. It's Wingham Woolwork (http://www.winghamwoolwork.co.uk/) and it's only open as a walk in shop on Sunday and Monday afternoon. It's the other end of the village from the garden centre.

It sounded great! Will try and keep it in mind for next year but feel free to remind me on here when the time comes round again :)
