Hi all,

I used to work, very briefly, for Apollo Travel Direct in Rotherham in 2003. I wish I hadn't left but I did so never mind... well I have always wanted to work in a tourism/travel environment, my ideal being a busy airport but as we have no airports busy and big enough within reach on public transport, that idea went out the window. I would love to work on a holiday park, maybe reception or admin, but again, Sheffield isn't exactly ideal!!!

So, does anyone know of any travel agency call centres etc. in Sheffield that take on people who don't really have much experience?? I would love to get back into it.

Also, any courses (part-time) I could take to help me? The travel agency certificate looks like it is no longer being done by Sheffield College.

Thanks

I have just finished a full time course in Travel and Tourism at Sheffield College. They are introducing new courses for this Sept, and they def do some part time ones. I think they have slightly changed the ABTAC one, but they still do something similar. I'd give them a ring / check out the website again.
