Our australian pal had some last night and said it was lovely!

The butcher at Banner Cross (Pat Emery - on the left as you go up the hill - look out for the jolly butcher figurine on the pavement) often has it.

When I was a kid I remember my mother buying kangaroo as cheap dog meat - now it's an expensive (but tasty) speciality.

Ostrich is really good too. Low in cholesterol and just like a nice fillet beef steak.

There's an Aussie themed bar in Bakewell that does food, they might have some.

Walkabout used to have both Alligator and Kangaroo on the menu.

Warning : When ordering kangaroo dont have it rare.........it's a bugger to catch.

Crashaw's the butcher by the top of the travelator next to Morrisons in Hillsborough barracks. They also do ostrich, venison and other assorted critters. You have to order it in advance though.

I tried it in Alicante last week it was very nice, texture of steak but taste a bit like liver

There is a butcher in Darnall where I have purchased Zebra steaks. He might have some kangaroo as he had other exotic meats.

So where is the livestock kept then ? - Not near the old mineshafts where people are likely to be trapped surely ? Is this a business op ... Kangaroo farming in UK or does it already exist ?
