not that i care, im just being nosey BUT i heard niche has had its drinking license taken off them and that they are closing down. Apparently something to do with the underage drinking. does anyone know??

So us little scrubbers, n me being a dirty little girl will still be raving at niche and not ur places!!
And one thing i dont think its fair that u have such a bad opinion on everyone that goes to niche! Ok now what u said applies to some, but not all. Ive never been a scrubber and most certainly not a dirty little girl. So please be more considerate when placing your opinions, as im sure in the places you go there are scrubbers n dirty little girls...... probably more.

this is the place for opinions sweetie and you have to admit the rep that place has. I do know people who go there and even they admit its a dive and sleazy but its the only place they can get in and underage drink and take drugs. but chill out little fish, im glad its staying open, i dont have to be blessed with the sight of cheap clothes and fake perfume in my bars/clubs xx:D

True to an extent, but if the people are under age, and therefore arguably easily led by pere pressure etc, and have a lower tolerance to drink then this pro active selling of drugs does not bode well. Especially if some **** is selling Heroin.

Are you sure?? i have been clubbing for 19 years and even during the rave and acid scene of the late 80's (and i went to a few of the original rave partys driving round on the phone) and i have to say that i have only been offered drugs about 4 or 5 times in total.

I work in a club now and if i saw anyone dealing or offering they wouldnt be in the club for long

A club, which could come straight out of twin peaks, called Club 414 in Brixton. Don't go its god awful, but twas a mate choice on his bday.

Had old men buying cups of tea upstairs with the light there to trip you out and then...trance downstairs.

Head fell apart in the taxi, felt like it was taking blocks out i.e. Jenga and any minute now it was going to collapse. Made know sense to no one at all. That little fishy will stay with me for a long time.

Not trying to be rude, but it's really easy to pick up drugs in most clubs and bars, and you don't particularly have to much searching either.

Yes- i have been a very active clubber (at least 2-3 time a month) for the past 4 years and the ease if which you can get drugs is just stupid at times.

aahhhh brixton- can't say i have been there- went to camden palace for frantic once- that was ace- no expierences like that tho!!

Varies hugely from club to club, newish to Sheff so no expert, but pretty much get approached across the country.

Some are more pro active than others, hence my original fears about Niche. A certain club in leeds used to set up the house dealer on a table at the back.

The bouncers are sometimes in on it too, taking drugs off people then telling the dealers who hasn't got any drugs so they can sell them some in exchange for a cut....etc etc.

Went a trance night in Manc last year and the dealer set up shop in one of the toilets cubicles.

Bouncers keep an eye out for rival dealers, take said cut.

Nats...Agree the subject may be a bit much for this forum, but hopefully this is not glamourising their use in anyway. I would never advocate the use of any mind altering substance, legal or not.

I hope we are all agreed, that all substances legal and illegal, if we are being serious, are bad, creating many social ills. Ideally people would be educated to make an informed decison, and decide for themselves. On that basis lets be realistic and inform and educate and hope people make the right decisions for themselves.

havn't been to the mint club actually- usually stick to mission or space if im in leeds.

One of the best night in town has to be the boardwalk, it has live music every friday and the atmosphere is fantastic. We regularly go and we have never had a bad night - its always great

ah the Niche....cultural hub of sheffield. You can buy products from Columbia, Afghanistan and Morocco.

Where else have I been where dealers outnumber punters? (allegedly as they could have been offering me cures for a headache or if I wanted a bit of kinky S&M)

There maybe people flogging drugs in other clubs but not over and over again constant offers by different people.

However did soemone mention dirty young girls?
