I've been listening to loads of old American music lately, from the old southern slave folk music through to the Bluegrass/Country and Soul sounds it developed into and the more modern Skiffle and Doo-Wop sounds that got established in the 1950s.

So many great songs out there - I'm itching to find some people to play some of them with. I'm a reasonable guitarist - I can also play the Ukulele and I'm thinking of getting a banjo. My singing voice isn't amazing but it's nice and deep for backing vocals. Anyone else wanna join me and swap some CDs and maybe have a bash at getting a band together? Even if we just sit around listening to music it would still be a laugh!

Drop me a line if you're interested, almost any instrument welcome. We'll surely cobble something together.

In a band? I'd be interested to hear of any Sheffield Bluegrass bands to go and see.

Kind of / sort of / early days. Used to be in a punkgrass band in Shef.
