Has anyone used a periscope or something like to look at young Frogs or Newts in the water of a small garden pond?
If so where can I buy or obtain or hire/borrow one?
Thanks

We used to use milk bottles when we were kids, they seemed to work nicely so I assume any clear bottle will do the same.
Theres a fish tank thing you can get form Argos with a sort of periscope in it, I suppose you could buy one of those and adapt...?
Pop into local pets shop, get a small plastic tank.
Hold it so the base is just in the water and viola!

I can now see that I've become the ' Midwife ' of at least four frogs and possibly a newt.
Question: Because I was told that my Gold Fish would eat any Frog or Newt Spawn along with Tadpoles and Newt-lets(?) I've kept them separate but adjacent ponds.
Now that the little frogs are now, or soon will be leaving the pond.
Are the Gold Fish still dangerous if the little frog or newt jump into that pond by mistake?
Will the Gold Fish eat the young Frogs and/or Newts?
I have had a reply to this so I'm starting another post.
