depends on what you like! Are we talking pubs/bars/late bars/clubs? What kind of music? Weekend or during week?

not really into dance/mainstream stuff
but then again i dont mind what kind of music is on in a pub
just lively places, but not catel markets where i can have fun

can't go wrong with the leadmill.

as for bars/pubs -

fat cat is a great little traditional pub with lots of different beers.
on alma street near kelham island - watch out for prostitutes!

And theres some great pubs down ecclesall road, either 'porter' pubs, the brook or moy slightly more local than that, the Cottage.

The devonshire cat is a great compromise between pub quality and city bar size and atmosphere.
