Does anyone know where it is, the easiest way to see it and what is the best time of the year when it is not overgrown?

Come on Albert! me-and-pippo 01-07-2007, 11:03 Does anyone know where it is, the easiest way to see it and what is the best time of the year when it is not overgrown? Come on Albert! Broomhead Stone Circle, O/S Grid ref: SK238966 the circle is not shown on a O/S map. For some strange reason i found a second reference named as Ewden Beck Circle? Ref: SK2381,9644 flashearth map (http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.462738&lon=-1.638055&z=16.1&r=0&src=msl) Nearest road in the area is Mortimer Road, the building on the right is Broomhead Hall. The track on the left of Mortimer Rd takes you down by the side of a triangular ligt coloured field, the N/W corner of that field should put you roughly in the right area. PopT 01-07-2007, 20:25 me-and pippo Thanks for the info, as soon as I am back in Sheffield I'll be off to find the circle. I may even find Albert there waiting for me!!! Happy Days! MrIan 09-01-2012, 10:18 Lovely walk and beautiful scenery but unfortunately not much to see of the circle itself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcIgr0BD8TA |
