Postman was late today, caught me unawares as i know our three dogs go bonkers when he arrives. I keep them indoors until he's been, but today they were out, all three of my dogs went charging to the gate, we have a papillon, a very large lurcher and an old colliex. Poor Pip the Pap got tangled under the lurcher's feet. He started shrieking, obviously hurt, which sent Rosie lurcher into a hysterical sort of a stomp. Managed to haul her off, but my poor boy couldn't stand up, back legs dangling and crossed over in an unnatural sort of way. This was at 8.30a.m this morning, had him to the vets by 9.00a.m. By then his legs had staightened out a bit but he could only drag himself along. Vet has given him painkillers and a steroid to reduce swelling. Now waiting for x-ray results, should ring about 4o'clock. Have cleaned he house non-stop all day, can't sit still.
Wish my poor boy luck

Oh poor baby :( good luck I hope he's OK xx
Oh poor baby! Hope he mends soon! I would love to own a small breed such as an english toy terrier, min pin or chinese crested and we very nearly got an ETT a couple of years ago, but we have a big daft clumsy doberman who is always treading on the cats (fortunately, they are pretty swift and can get out of her way) and we decided she would be just too clumsy with a small doggy.

just fetched a poorly Pip from the vets, no breaks but nasty bruising around his spine, we won't know the extent of any nerve damage for at least a week so we have to keep our fingers crossed there is no permanent damage. He can't move his back legs at all so it's a good job he is so small as we are carrying him around everywhere as he is crying every time we move away from him.
We didn't know when we got Rosie lurcher that she would get so big. Her mum was a greyhound whipet cross and quite small, dad was a bedlington/whippet, but Rosie has turned out like a large broken coated greyhound, people ask us if she has wolfhound in their somewhere, so i think she must be a throwback. She is so gentle except when the postie comes then she goes into a lurcher version of breakdancing, £142.00 quids worth today !!!!!!.
