View Full Version : What have Sheffield boys got to offer women?
ShinyPurple 29-06-2007, 17:51 The other thread asking what Sheffield girls like in a man has more than a slight whiff of desperation about it.
So come on boys tell us why any of us should be interested in you?

Spirit_Wolf 29-06-2007, 18:34 Well for me I'm 23 years old, mid-long hair and a 6ft 4" monster, wage in the mid 20k's. Looking for fun or a relationship. I got tons of Sweet/Cute/Sexy comments but never get anyware and not sure why.
Also I get all the I've had a great time.
It could be how I speak as i'm quiet. When ever I contact fem's afterwards they say there not interested i'm not there type of guy but when asked about my weakpoints I get no answer :| As If i'm bland or anything I would like to know.

I have this theory that girls like a bit of danger and excitement, I don't know if I'm right, oh yeah, and lots and lots of small talk which is soo boring. :D

as for the 25K Its involves very advanced computing plus that reminds me I need a pay rise!
I don't do C++ I look after parts of the internet and private networks.
Bomberman 29-06-2007, 18:59 I'm pretty sure I'm the exact opposite atm - No job, no home, no money. I like console games, motorbikes (mine is broken) and skateboarding. I'm 33 :D

Alas, in choosing a husband , it seems that youve always got to decide between something tame and uninteresting like a goldfish , or something wild and fascination like a mountain goat.

That about sums me up, just plain old fashioned boring like a goldfish, only being the strong silent type I keep my mouth shut. But what's wrong with reliable, honest and faithful? However when I'm fell running I look like a mountain goat but that's no good for the girls because they can't do it. :D
A damn good accent, nice length, loyalty, trust and the ability to cook one hell of a cottage pie.
pattricia 29-06-2007, 19:37 Love Cottage Pie ! :D
Love Cottage Pie ! :D

That's me sunk then. :)
How about the facts that I am genuine, honest, faithful, caring, compassionate, considerate, thoughtful, a single dad to a disabled child, affectionate, not great looking but you can't have everything.
Just been very unlucky in finding love, keep getting hurt but optimistic.
Still looking for true love.
Spirit_Wolf 29-06-2007, 20:05 Well for cottage pie you could be evil and use lentils!
melthebell 29-06-2007, 20:23 I have this theory that girls like a bit of danger and excitement,

evildrneil 29-06-2007, 20:38 My all round perfection....
...and modesty of course!
Us Sheffield lads have always had a lot to offer the girls of Sheffield since time began.
I remember my first girl friend. I think her name was Nora.....or it could have been Norma ? Anyway, it was outside the old Peace Gardens, about 1957.I swept her off her feet, so to speak.
I had a fantastic stamp collection at that time and I spent hours showing her my collection and explaining all about which countries they came from. Another hobby of mine was beetles ; not the pop group,[ The Beatles ] ha ha ha, but REAL beetles. We would spend ages in the Botanical Gardens searching for the little blighters and discussing their antics.
Once, I took her for a cup of tea in the old Disc Jockey on London Road and we listened to Bing Crosby on the juke box. Oh, Happy Days !
I later took up train- spotting and we seemed to drift apart after that but I will never forget our last meeting, near the Midland Station. She said,
" I have never met anyone like you before and I don't think I will, ever again. Goodbye " I heard she moved to Cleethorpes later ; with her family of course.

Im filling up with tears now.!!:(
Thank you, Pattricia, for that very thoughtful response. I know this is slightly off-topic, but have you ever come across a Nora.....or Norma....[ from Cleethorpes ] over the years ? If so, maybe you could put us in touch again !
Even after all these years, I feel we could re-kindle our old romance. These days, I have dropped Train Spotting and I'm into various aspects of 18th. Century Flemish Alms Houses. If you come across Nora....or Norma, please do tell her. Incidentally, Pattricia, are you interested in 18th. Century Flemish Alms Houses, in any shape or form ? Or any of your female friends interested ? I mention this as a few of us are hiking round Belgium this summer, combining business with pleasure, as it were ! [ Ha ha ha ].
